This is going to be a completely random / all over the place type of post. If you’re a super type A – ocd, need order and structure this is post is totally going to trigger your inner english teacher. With that being said, let’s kick this off with the question on every girls mind who’s on Instagram and is wondering, if they haven’t already taken the plunge, is the billie razor magic?

Yes it is!
I finally caved after seeing so many ads pop up on my IG and Pinterest, seeing countless bloggers, excuse me influencers, I don’t know what’s preferred these days, post about how magically this razor was. I was like ok let’s test it out, it’s only $9. If you know you know, this razor surpasses the hype. I can’t explain it but just trust me and everyone else that’s tried, it’s worth it. I’ve also tried their shave cream & body lotion. The shave cream smells clean and makes my skin feel soft but I will say it doesn’t lather like your usual shaving cream so just know that going into it. The body lotion has a light citrus scent and left my body feeling soft. I will say I love my Aveeno and it’s still my ride or die but it’s nice to switch it up sometimes, get wild if you will. I love this razor so much and the blade refills are so cheap ($9 for 4 cartridges) I order a second handle and a travel case.
While we’re on the topic of caving on product purchases, let’s talk about a shoe that I’ve been avoiding since college. Tevas. It’s like why now? They’re literally not eye appealing and they scream tacky tourist on a summer vacay. I don’t know what sparked the need for these but since I’ve had them I’ve never been happier with such a random purchase in my life. They’re like walking on clouds. I guess I’m at the age of whatever I don’t care how cute it is or not, it’s comfortable. Judge me if you will but I’m over the moon obsessed with the 90’s color-block I chose!
Let’s talk trends. Two trends I can’t seem to get enough of are headbands and overalls. I feel like my inner 10 year self is loving me right now. I was walking through Target, saw a pair of short denim overalls hanging in the wrong spot thought they were cute and the rest is history. That right there is what happens in Target. You go in on a mission and instead of venturing off to roam in Target bliss, you justify your random impulse control by telling yourself it was left there in my path so it was meant to be. At least that’s what I tell myself. This was a lucky find not only because they just happen to be my size and exactly the style of overalls I had been pinning but they weren’t sold in my store location. They were a return that someone had ordered online. These I do think were meant to be! I’ll leave a link to them incase your in the market for a pair. The headband situation started last fall with the velvet pearl headbands from Amazon. I’ve since ordered a pack of plain multi colored velvet headbands from Amazon again as well has the occasional cute Target find.
Here come the super random finds. I found the Q-tip brand cotton rounds and they are semi life changing. I’ve always used just whatever I found at Target, Walmart or Ulta, just simple inexpensive cotton rounds. I’ve never seen the point in paying a ton of money for something like cotton to take off my makeup or apply a toner with and just throw it away. I use the Q-tip brand of Q-tips. These cotton rounds are soft and don’t leave little pieces of cotton on your face. If you use cotton sounds you know what I’m talking about. there is nothing woes than going to apply a serum or moisturizer and have little pills of cotton on your face.
Reusable straws are something I’ve been using for a while but I just bought a pack of the silicon straws and my drink game has never been stronger. I have your typical metal and plastic straws, I have the bumper that protects you from hurting yourself with the end of the straw. I’m an adult and I know how to drink successfully out of straw most days but still I find myself jamming my lip or tooth with the end of it. I saw a pack of I think it was like 6 colors for maybe $5. Game changer. The only thing I have to warn you about or I should suggest is that if your going to fill your cup up with a lot of ice put the straw in first because it’s made of silicon it’s super flexible and can’t push through ice well.
I saved the best for last, new and throwback beauty faves. If you follow me on the LTK app than you might have seen i posted that I tried the skincare line Versed. I tried their clarifying serum. I’ve still using and loving it so much that I also purchased their zero-g smoothing eye cream. I’m loving both and can’t say enough good things about the brand so far in using two products for the past I’d say 3 weeks ish. I love that the brand is a clean brand and it’s affordable.
You hate to stab your tried & trues in the back but sometimes you stubble back into old faves or new found holy grails. Back in high school I wore Maybelline’s lash stiletto mascara and the other day when I was in Target I was like my I do need a new mascara and given the pandemic state we live in currently I’m already at the store I might as well grab one here instead of going to another store or having to wait for one to be shipped to me. I reach for my HS throwback. Back in the day I didn’t use a lash primer, I honestly don’t know if I even knew what it was. I grabbed L’Oreal’s voluminous primer to replace my current one. 2 layers of the the L’Oreal primer & 2 layers of the lash stiletto mascara is THE BEST combo I’ve been able to find at the drugstore. I do like lash paradise and a few other Maybelline mascaras but right now that combo is killing it for me. Not to mention it’s cheaper than my usual lash routine.
At home nail seshes are the norm for me, I love a good salon day but mainly stick to pedicure since my nails grow so fast and I like to keep my nail length pretty short. I either keep my nails natural or when I’m in the polishing mood I will have to paint them once a week due to growth. I’ve been using the Out the Door brand of topcoat since high school as well. My older sister used it so I obviously copied her and it’s been a repurchase ever since. OPI was having a sale so I grabbed their topcoat since I need a new bottle. Another game changer for me. In a weeks time my nails not only grow quickly but by day 7 are chipped especially more recently with the increased hand-washing. With the OPI topcoat my nails are still in perfect condition, no chips and are still shiny. I say farewell to Out the Door, you’ve served me well but I’ve found a new fave.
