Today I’m sharing something I’ve been keeping under wraps for what seems like forever! As I mentioned last week, I have some exciting news to share with y’all. I am so nervous, so excited, literally so many emotions are flooding my mind but after a year of prayer, patience and more support than I ever imagined from family and friends I am here to announce that Style is Everything is expanding…
I’m headed to ATL this weekend to kick off the beginning of the newest chapter for not only myself but for the SIE brand. Y’all Style is Everything is expanding to open online boutique!!!! The boutique is it’s own stand alone site just like any other online store but there is a tab with a direct link to it at the top of the blog, Style is Everything Boutique. On the shops site I will also have a link to this blog, I wanted the two to have links to each other because as much as they are two separate sites they are one.
This is something that I’ve dreamed about doing but I honestly never thought I could make it happen. When I went to college I originally went to get my fashion merchandising degree, it was absolutely amazing because able to learn the industry from the inside and I would literally daydream about what I would do when I graduated. I had a few bumps in the road (I won’t bore you with the details) but to make a long story short I was double majored in nursing & psychology, after one semester of upper level nursing classes like pathophysiology, I decided that nursing wasn’t the career path I wanted to continue on. I ended up graduating with my bachelors in Psychology, not exactly what I had planned but I loved it. I contemplated grad school & then told myself to just follow my heart. It took me a while to figure out what the right choice was. I felt cheated by life, I missed out on amazing internships by not being able to continue my original plan. I was angry at the world and honestly at myself because I felt like so lost. Everyone else seemed to have everything together and even though I had a degree, I felt so lost. It wasn’t until after graduating college and realizing that old saying “everything happens for a reason”. It’s true. Life had thrown my a through curve balls but in the end God had a plan for me and it’s been an amazing one so far. Trusting in Him is what’s got me to where I am today and I would’t change a thing.
Why did I choose to name my shop Style is Everything Boutique which is similar to my blog name? I wanted this shop to be an extension of me and of Style is Everything Blog. When I originally thought of my blog, I was super careful when it came to picking my name, I wanted it to be fashion related obviously but I wanted it to be a name that I could expand and grow with. I wanted to create a brand that could be cohesive among many things and not restricted to only my blog. SIEBoutique is my way of sharing my love fashion with all of you, it’s like y’all will shopping in my closet. Anything I sell in my shop are pieces that I would and will actually wear. I’m not going to sell anything that isn’t representative of me or who I am. I know I am going to have a lot of haters that say “you can’t just sell what you like, you have to offer a variety for you customers”. Yes this is absolutely true but I refuse to sell that I don’t personally love just to make a buck. Sorry but that’s not me and that’s not what I want my brand to reflect. Y’all see my style on the blog and Instagram, it’s pretty laid back and comfortable. SIEBoutique will be a reflection of this. I want something that everyone can enjoy and love which is why I want pieces that you will be able to mix and match to create more than one outfit within the shop and with existing things you already have in your closet. Have versatile pieces is something that’s in to me. More importantly everything will be affordable!
I will let y’all know as soon as I have an official launch date set, it will depend on when I’m able to get all my orders in but I’m shooting for early to mid October, the perfect time to shop for fall! I am so excited to finally announce and share this amazing next step with all of you!!
I created social media accounts for SIEBoutique but haven’t posted or made the FB page live yet, I’m still working on it or posted anything on the Instagram account yet since I don’t have any product in. I do have a Twitter (if you’ve received a follow from a similar account to my personal, it’s me with the boutique (@SIEBoutique) not a spam account!) ha
What are y’all’s thoughts on what y’all like from business social media accounts, I’m so nervous about it because I hate spammy type accounts showing the same things over and over, I want to promote but not kill y’all!
