Black Friday Sales Guide

Ok so I know everyone is posting their gift guides and Black Friday faves and all that jazz but I’m literally giving y’all a cheat sheet.  I didn’t even do the traditional gift guide per say, I instead made shoppable tabs under my holiday shop for certain categories, like my gifts under $50 has gifts for girls & guys.

I’ve rounded up all pre-Black Friday and as many Black Friday sales I could find some of which will last all weekend and even roll into Cyber Monday but as a word of caution if you love it or think you love it buy it now, don’t wait because it will probably sell out.  Cyber Monday sales can sometimes be better than Black Friday sales, sometimes they aren’t and you regret waiting & sometimes your favorite stores have already sold out by Monday so the sale doesn’t even matter because they’re sold out, so once again, buy anything you find because you can always return.

Here’s the low down:

TORY BURCH : 30% off $250 or more & free shipping! Use code THANKS

J.CREW : 40% off everything & free shipping! Use code HOLIDAY

J.CREW FACTORY : 50-60% off everything, prices are already marked so need for a code! Free shipping on all orders over $50!

KATE SPADE : 30% off with code THANKFUL.

Psalm 107:8-9

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,  for he satisfies the thirsty and he fills the hungry with good things.

I hope y’all have an amazing Thanksgiving getting to spend time with your families! Laugh and enjoy each other’s company! Take a moment to realize how blessed you are and let all the first world problems go! I’m grateful for each and every one of you!

If you’re braving the madness of shopping in-stores on Black Friday, good luck!

cable knit / shades: Raybans, great dupes here

Summer is coming to an end so I’m spending as many days at the beach while I can.  Being that I live in a beach town the best days are yet to come.  From June-August the beach is over crowded & not to mention it’s just too hot to even be outside so by the time September rolls around, the weather is perfect and the big crowds are gone.  With the arrival of September which happens to be my favorite month…cough cough, it’s my birthday month (Sept. 7, don’t worry there’s plenty of time to get me a gift).  But seriously September brings about fall styles! Being raised in the south I grew up being taught when Labor Day comes around I had to say goodbye to seersucker and white; white shoes and pants.  I still won’t wear white shoes or seersucker after the first weekend of Sept. but as far as white pants go, I’ve let this one slide in recent years.  The way I think of said rule is stop wearing super resort wear once September comes, as with anything I think it’s all about styling.  You can take super summer pieces like Lilly Pulitzer and incorporate them into your fall mix.

I wanted to take one last spin in these shorts, they’re from J.Crew from I think 2 years ago & they have pleats…my heart skips a beat with pleats.  Seriously if something as pleats or pockets like I mentioned in my long sleeve romper post then there’s a 99% chance I’ll buy it based on those 2 reasons alone.

It’s that time of year again, Macy’s is hosting Shop for a Cause which benefits March of Dimes.  Macy’s Shop For A Cause is a unique, three-day shopping event created to support local nonprofit organization’s fundraising efforts. Since 2006, the program has helped raise tens of millions of dollars for thousands of charities across the country.  Macy’s has designated the March of Dimes®, the leading nonprofit organization in support of pregnancy and baby health, as its national in-store and online beneficiary of Shop For A Cause.

Customers will be invited to give $5 to the March of Dimes at any Macy’s register or online at macys.com and receive a savings pass valid for 25 percent off select regular, sale and clearance items – including home and some brands that are usually excluded – and 10 percent off on watches, electrics/electronics, furniture, mattresses and rugs/floor coverings all weekend long. Exclusions apply and offer differs online. Passes are now available for purchase on macys.com/sfac.  For the first time ever, #shopforacause has been extended all weekend long starting today, Friday, August 26th – Sunday, August 28th.

long sleeve romper

Are those pockets? Yes. Ok, I’m getting it.

romper: mine is from TJMaxx but this one is even cuter / booties: mine are from a local boutique but similar ones here

cross-body is a total dupe for Rebecca Minkoff / shades under $30!

I literally couldn’t tell you the last time I wore a romper.  I used to wear them all the time but for some reason I jumped off the trend and stayed away for a while.  With fall fast approaching I decided to jump back on the romper train and fell in love with the long sleeved rompers I kept seeing everywhere this one even has pockets that zip up.  Truthfully I’ll probably never use them just like I never use pockets on 99.9% of the things I own.  Designers if you’re reading this, put pockets on everything if it doesn’t make sense (we won’t use them anyways) and we’ll buy it! I found this romper at TJMaxx.  It was such a steal that I couldn’t not get it, when it comes to me and TJ I have zero self control.  It’s a rare day when I walk out there without buying at least one coffee cup, a throw blanket, a dog today, I try to avoid the clothing as much as possible because it’s just so dangerous, clearly I did a terrible job at avoiding it because not only did I find my way into clothes but I made it to the dressings room to try on.  Sometimes I can persuade myself out of things if I have to try them on….literally the worst thing.  I hate trying on clothes.  It wasn’t until I put this romper on to shoot did I realize that it was way too low cut.  I guess I was more focused on the damn pockets when I tried it on to realize that the neck plunges so low and the top is a little loose fitting which I love, I don’t like super tight fitting clothing, but if the wind blew just right…I would be giving everyone a show.  Thankfully I had a nude lace bandeau I was able to wear underneath to save me.

I can definitely see myself throwing on a vest (my staple) and a pair of boot when it cools down!

When I where outfits on the blog I try to make sure they are things that I can link for y’all but sometimes like this romper I found it at TJMaxx…I’m never going to be able to link it because even the TJ website doesn’t always have everything on it that is in their store and every location has different things.  I do apologize that I can’t link this exact romper but I have some super cute & really great ones linked for y’all!
