If you asked me what my idea fall outfit would be it would definitely be this! I absolutely love being able to bundle up but not be completely bundled, kind of an oxymoron.  If you’ve followed me for a while then you know that I am vest obsessed, I own too many and the fact that SIEBoutique is launching, it gave me another excuse to fuel my habit, I have some super cute vests that y’all are going to love!!!

Layering is my absolute favorite and I love being able to transition pieces I wore in summer and bring them with me into fall.  This “skirt” isn’t actually a skirt, it’s a short sleeve chambray dress like THIS one that I just layered my sweater on over it and then of course topped off the entire look with a vest.  I did cinch my dress with a belt because the length of it was a little too long for the look I wanted.  Such an easy fix and the perfect way to recycle pieces in your closet.

You could totally wear riding boots with this look or even a cute pair of sneakers like these velvet slip ons for a more sporty look.  I just couldn’t’ wait to wear these adorable booties.  After traveling for the entire month of September I came home to the sweetest little present from my mom.  Which if y’all didn’t know my sweet mom is my photographer, I’m seriously so lucky to have her.  Not only is she an amazing & beautiful soul that I’m beyond blessed to call mom but she’s my best friend.  It’s funny because we’re so alike in so many ways & have similar styles but at the same time such different taste.  She’s given up on trying to pick out clothes for me it’s always a surpise when she picks things up for me.  When she asked if I liked these booties, I was like ugh duh, they’re the perfect the color to go with everything and look at that scallop detail. SO FREAKING PERFECT! Have y’all ever tried Jack Rogers booties?! If you haven’t I highly recommend, they are so comfortable! Snaps for mom!

I hope y’all have a great weekend!! I’ll be celebrating my mom’s birthday Saturday and finishing up inventory for SIEBoutique! Y’all the launch is so close I can hardly stand it! 🙂

romper: mine is from TJMaxx but this one is even cuter / booties: mine are from a local boutique but similar ones here

cross-body is a total dupe for Rebecca Minkoff / shades under $30!

I literally couldn’t tell you the last time I wore a romper.  I used to wear them all the time but for some reason I jumped off the trend and stayed away for a while.  With fall fast approaching I decided to jump back on the romper train and fell in love with the long sleeved rompers I kept seeing everywhere this one even has pockets that zip up.  Truthfully I’ll probably never use them just like I never use pockets on 99.9% of the things I own.  Designers if you’re reading this, put pockets on everything if it doesn’t make sense (we won’t use them anyways) and we’ll buy it! I found this romper at TJMaxx.  It was such a steal that I couldn’t not get it, when it comes to me and TJ I have zero self control.  It’s a rare day when I walk out there without buying at least one coffee cup, a throw blanket, a dog today, I try to avoid the clothing as much as possible because it’s just so dangerous, clearly I did a terrible job at avoiding it because not only did I find my way into clothes but I made it to the dressings room to try on.  Sometimes I can persuade myself out of things if I have to try them on….literally the worst thing.  I hate trying on clothes.  It wasn’t until I put this romper on to shoot did I realize that it was way too low cut.  I guess I was more focused on the damn pockets when I tried it on to realize that the neck plunges so low and the top is a little loose fitting which I love, I don’t like super tight fitting clothing, but if the wind blew just right…I would be giving everyone a show.  Thankfully I had a nude lace bandeau I was able to wear underneath to save me.

I can definitely see myself throwing on a vest (my staple) and a pair of boot when it cools down!

When I where outfits on the blog I try to make sure they are things that I can link for y’all but sometimes like this romper I found it at TJMaxx…I’m never going to be able to link it because even the TJ website doesn’t always have everything on it that is in their store and every location has different things.  I do apologize that I can’t link this exact romper but I have some super cute & really great ones linked for y’all!

Move over LBD the little black romper…with pockets might I add, is about to take your spot at holiday parties this year. Don’t get me wrong I love myself a black dress that I can accessories per each occasion but how perfect is this romper, it’s as dressy as any LBD I’ve seen and the fact that it has pockets and an embellished neckline it’s totally perfect for any holiday event.  I couldn’t help but pair it with the best cape ever, seriously y’all I’ve been planning outfits for it ever since Joanna (the owner of The Wandering Lilly) told me she was ordering it; it goes with everything so now that I have it I’m wearing the heck out of it! Just about any pair of heels, flats or booties would work well with it just depending on how dressy and comfortable you wanted to be.

** Warning** be careful wearing a short dress or in my case romper with a shorter coat because it totally looks like I’m not wearing anything under the coat. I planned on ditching my cape the second I get in doors so it didn’t bother me too much.
