Y’all I have tried so hard to love bold lip colors especially for the holidays but I just can’t do it… on myself at least. So many of y’all can pull it off but this girl is just going to stick with the neutral palette. I keep hearing from my friends that the reason I don’t like the bold colors is because I’m not just used to seeing myself with it on but I personally don’t think I’m made for dramatic anything. I’ve always been a simple girl when it comes to beauty and I’m not really that mad about it. I’ve tried doing dramatic eyes & lips but a neutral/more natural look is totally me and now that I’ve tried to play in the advanced class I’ve realized it’s not for me. With that being said I want to touch on why I decided to start a beauty section on Style is Everything because I’m sure a lot of you who’ve been following me for a while or know me are wondering what the heck is going on Taylor, you let your hair dry 95% if the time, can’t curl your hair to save your life and have the hardest time putting mascara on without getting it everywhere.
Style is Everything never thought it would see the day when beauty was ever on it, not that I don’t love all things beauty it’s just not my area of expertise but over the past few months I’ve really gotten into it and have fun playing around to find what works for me. I thought why not share what works for the girl who likes to keep it simple and more natural like myself. I’m by no means going to start calling myself a beauty blogger because let’s be real, I am so far from it. I just wanted a space to share a beginners/dummy level of beauty.
Like I mentioned, I’ve tried going bold with bright red, deep wines and even the dark nude shades but I just don’t like the look on myself so I’ve found a few of my current favorite pinks that I absolutely love; the perfect pop of color without being too much.
YSL Rouge Volupté Shine – in color 9 Nude in Private / spicy warm beige

I found this buffalo plaid makeup bag at Target in the dollar bins upfront…I know right! So cute! It was actually $3 but still, I had to have. I couldn’t find it on their site to link maybe it’s because all those things sell out so quacks if you’re in Target try searching to see if they have one but I did find a similar one HERE and HERE both under $20!
