Do you festival? Packing is the hardest part of any trip….outfit planning is the best/worst part. Festival style is one that can be defined in two words “free spirt”. Not to say that there isn’t a theme but it’s literally a whatever you’re comfortable in, wear that! The more skin the better since it’s usually hot but don’t feel like you have to bear it all to fit it. Some tassels, denim, a flowy tank…you’ll blend right in.
This is definitely not your typically “festival style” look if you were to Pinterest it but technically you can wear whatever you want and I love am obsessed with this bralette from P.J. Salvage!! It’s the softest material and the tied up detailing on the back makes me want to walk backwards so everyone can see it! This cami is also from PJS and it’s equally as soft and the the detailing on it in the front and back so it still shows off the bralette. I’m wearing a more lounge wear vibe with these olive joggers but you could absolutely (and I definitely will) wear this cami & bralette with a pair of high waist denim short and a pair of gladiators. P.J. Salvage is about comfort 24/7, as well as integrating soft, luxurious pieces into true lifestyle-driven designs. Designed to move from the home to out and about; loungewear, lifestyle, sleepwear. If you’ve never heard of the brand or if you have and haven’t tried them, you MUST if you’re a lover of cute comfort!
Step one to kick off a great festival day/weekend: shower.
I’m probably the pickiest person when it comes to shampoo and conditioner (if my mom or my inner circle of girls is reading this then I know you can 100% agree with that statement). I’m constantly wanting to try high end products end I end up hating them but y’all this Renpure coconut water shampoo & conditioner are amazing! Clearly I haven’t used the entire bottle based on this photo so it’s hard to to give it 2 thumbs up with total confidence but so far (in the past week and a half that I’ve used it & I wash my hair every day) I love it! It makes me hair feel so moisturized but not heavy and it doesn’t make my hair super oily the next morning when I wake up. The Black Label Coconut Line of natural extra virgin oil and natural coconut water moisturize strands that are shiny, healthy, and beautiful. Natural coconut water holds extremely light-weight, thin coconut water molecules that are rich in nutrients and hydration, which easily and quickly deliver a replenishment of hair health to the inner most part of your hair structure. Oh and it smells like summer, so there’s that added bonus! 🙂
Since you’re probably going to be in shorts you’ll want smooth legs and smooth legs that will last longer than just one day. Nad’s wax strips are going to become your bff after you try them once! Nad’s Ultra Smoothing Wax Strips are professional quality wax strips (advanced super strength formula) work on all skin types and is gentle on sensitive skin.
Before you read this entire post you should know that I’ve never been to a festival before…I have been to a ton of outdoor concerts & sorority recruitment in the South’s humidity so I’m using that & combining it with what I’ve heard from my friends that have been. It’s a hella fun. Hot. And you definitely want a backpack…or at least become best friends with someone who has one. Even though a cute cross body might be more Insta worthy and look way cuter with your outfit, a backpack can hold a lot more and it’s on your back so it won’t strain you like a side bag, at least in my opinion.
So from what I’ve heard and read some venues will allow you to bring food and drinks in with you…not all of them because why not charge $8 for a bottle of water?! For the venues that allow it, take advantage of it. Gotta stay hydrated and wired for all the shows!
If you know me or have been following me on any social media then you know my obsession with La Croix! My fridge is pretty much always stacked full of the peach-pear & the pomegranate flavors but this Cúrate Melón Pomelo is quickly becoming a new favorite!
Candy…need I say more?! I should say be sure to pack healthy snacks but when you’re headed to a festival you’re ready to let loose & treat yourself. I’m not like a crazy candy junky except for gummy candy. I know some might fight me on this but I totally reach for Sour yet sweet, Sour Punch® & Ragin’ Reds (aren’t the reds everyone’s favorite!?) over chocolate any day!
A few other things you might want to add to your must haves besides sunscreen are some eyedrops, you never realize how dry your eyes get being outside and depending on how windy it is, little pieces of grass & dust can really irritate your eyes, not to mention the heat, these drops might be a lifesaver (just throw them in that little bag that every girl has that has a little bit of everything in it that we almost never use but always have to have with us for just incase comments) The Clear Eyes Pure Relief® delivers up to 12 hours of soothing comfort so won’t miss a moment of any fun! You might want to also bring Organic Coconut Oil. I use coconut oil as a deep conditioner for my hair but I also use it on my face and body for when my skin feels dry….it sounds crazy but seriously google it or try it if you don’t believe me! Your skin will thank me after a long day in the sun!

I love the box set companies. They make shopping a fun surprise. Anyone who would add La Croix gets an A in my book!
