Happy Friday! Before we talk about how perfect this boho cold shoulder dress is I want to have a come to Jesus moment with y’all about myself.  When I first started blogging and hell even now I am not totally at home in front of the camera.  I don’t mind take pictures with other people but having all the attention on myself makes me clam up like a deer in head lights and pull the ol’ Ricky Bobby “I don’t know what to do with my hands.”.  I think it’s kind of control thing, like I don’t know what I look like or if I’m standing like I want to in the pictures but I will say that I’ve noticed when I’m wearing an outfit I’m so completely in love with and feel super comfortable in, all the weird vibes I get seem to melt away. Not to sound cocky at all but I like to think of myself as a pretty confident person, I don’t really care too much about what people think and I stand firm in who I am, it’s just something about all eyes on you in front of the camera that makes me feel like 2 inches tall and super vulnerable.  Of course I like all the outfits I wear on the blog but some of them don’t always photograph the way I want them to which is probably the most frustrating thing. If y’all haven’t noticed by style can’t really be classified in just one genre, I just like what I like and it’s a wide range of styles.  Sometimes I wish I could actually nail down a specific style that was me but it all depends on my mood.  With all this being said, lately I’ve been really drawn to more boho styles and not that I’m not 100% comfortable in everything I wear but my boho looks have been my favorite looks recently.  Like when the camera turns on I don’t want to run.  I am by no means a boho queen but there’s something to be said for the laid back effortless ways of the boho style! I can dig it y’all! <—- exhibit A as to how I know I’m not a true flower child…saying y’all  as often as I do! haha 😉

Ok enough about my semi revelations about me realizing that I might have a like .10 percent boho inside me….this dress.  Which perfect detail would y’all like to discuss first? The hem line, like it’s the perfect high-low. The tasseled bell sleeve.  The cold shoulder…totally obsessed. How about the elephant and paisley print?!  The ease, the flow, the shear comfort of this dress is one that should be cherished! I dressed it up a little with these laser cut out wedges but it would be so perfect with a pair of gladiators or slip on sandals like these!

I hope y’all have an exciting weekend planned! Brian’s out of town at Talladega, it’s his annual boys trip where they camp out in the in field for a few days and wait for the big race on Sunday.  Judge away because yes I know NASCAR but were from the South and it’s honestly so much fun to go to (way better than watching it on tv, it’s a snoozer) when I go I definitely do not camp in the infield, I stay in a hotel, there’s only so much redneck I can take. ha.  Not to take away from the manliness of their trip but I think it’s super cute that a big group his friends all get together every year and have a getaway.  As for me, I’ll be relaxing, not cooking and catching up on The Real Housewives (I’m so behind).

I love the details on that dress! The tassels the open shoulders, so cute! Also I completely get where you’re coming from. Some outfits I feel so much more comfortable in front of a camera than others.

I like the way it flows. I also like dresses that hang longer in the back. I’m always paranoid I’m showing something I shouldn’t be.
